So Proud

October 24, 2010

Yesterday my husband made me so proud of him.

Every weekend we view houses or Flats in Esslingen or around Esslingen. I love this city, the people, and really do not want to leave it. This city is very diverse, the people are so friendly, and I know how to get around a bit by foot, lol.

So yesterday we went to an appointment and saw this lovely flat with an upstairs and downstairs loft style. John and I are into Loft style because they are open and you have no restrictions. It did not have a balcony but a garden and a park in the area. Funny thing is that it use to be a military base, an old hospital, now a living area. This place had character. So I ask the realtor what stores are close by. Come on I am a female:) I must know the perks, lol. He told us and let us know that straight down to the right at the courtyard is a nice coffee shop almost like Starbuck. Thinking now I should of took a photo of the setting. Because it was nice and comfortable with vanilla couches and square leather ottoman.

As soon as we sat down and waited for our breakfast to come to us an elderly lady came close to our table. John and I told her good morning. Then she start talking about what was going on in the news, since John was reading his newspaper. But she went on and on. Our food came then she left to place her order. Afterward she came back and apologize and start talking, lol. We told her please take a seat she is welcome to join us. We sat and talked with her until she finish her meal. We were with her for 2 hours! I am so glad that we were not in a rush to go anywhere important. The conversation was nice. She told us a bit of herself. She even let me know that this bakery is her place of relaxation and that she is there every Saturday from 1100-1pm. Since her husband is dead for 5 years now and she do not have any children. I told her if we move in the place that we just look at and my Deutsch have gotten better I might pop in now and then.

When we left I hugged my husband. I knew all the reasons I married him and am with him. He is a wonderful, caring, patient at times guy with a big heart.

Thank you Ahlterra, it is. The funny thing is the first time we moved here it instantly felt like home. Was so weird. We look in many cities and this place continue pulling us back.
