October Cooking Theme – The Color Orange

October 25, 2010

In life we play many themes. We have the theme of being a mother, father, friend, sister, brother, lover, wife, husband, fighter, a hater, lol. The list is endlist!

I have always like to be a part of a group that was fun, have participants, and is different from other groups. So I created a group on Facebook called What Sha Cooking. Every month there is a theme.

The first theme was in September

I wanted the first theme to be fun and fair. Something that many people cook with.

The second theme was for October which just ended last week for everyone to get ready for the November theme! The November theme is very touching. When that theme is over if you have not join the group by then, I will write about it next month. Okay back to the October theme! The October theme was “The Color Orange”. I know your going like “the color Orange! That is so limiting.” If your thinking that your absolutely wrong, sorry to say. Many of the group members who participated blew me away. I was like “Watch out now!” I seen fish, cake, pie, ice cream, soup, and so much more. I was actually impressed and proud of “everyone” who participated. To me they are all winners! But as in “Highlander” the movie would say, “There can only be one.”

The winner of the October Theme is

What Sha Cooking - October Theme

Romantic (Orange) Dinner for Two
Carrot Mango Soup, Breast of Duck a l'orange, Mimosa's, Orange Panna Cotta with Chocolate Shavings

Nancy meal theme blew us all out of the pond and received the most vote.

Congratulation to Nancy and her meal. Since most of us do not live close to Nancy to pop over for dinner she left us instructions in the group to replicated this meal:)

Let see what next month theme participant will do and make?!

If interested to join the group and your a person who like to ‘share’ your photo recipe with others this is the link to my little group What Sha Cooking Only accepting people who like to share so that the group continue being active with communication and postings;)
