Vanilla and Chocolate Creme Brulee

Vanilla and Cholate Creme Brulee
Sometime it is better to eat things without knowing what is in them or how to make them. Because I have a new found love of Creme Brulee. Last week or two weeks ago John and I met up with two of our friends at an Italian restaurant in Esslingen. Everything tasted so good I had to ask what was in certain things. I think I asked too many times that the waiter ask me if I am interested in buying a cookbook. Immediately I said yes, thinking it will have so many of the things we ate that night, but as I look through it I saw one or two dishes from that restaurant, info of many other fine dining restaurant in Esslingen and Stuttgart, and one or two recipes with each restaurant page. The book was not what I have expected, but it turned out to be very nice. The cook and owner of the Reichstadt, Salvatore Marrazzo, who had cooked for the former Bundeskanzler (President), Gerhard Schröder, in 2005 made us an incredible vanilla and chocolate creme brulee. I thought the taste was so amazing that I must try to replicate it and what make it perfect is that the recipe was in the book. I ofcourse have a problem of following directions and like to make my own twist of a recipe but after the second attempt I got it and found out not to whip the eggs, lol. Whipping the eggs make the brulee scramble looking texture, watery, and just too moist. Without further ado here is my replication with my own twist. Thank you Kay, and your right about having time for this because the process can’t be rush or it will be clumpy. I learn that from my first batch.
