Presteej

August 26, 2011

Last month John and I went to Stuttgart CSD, it is a gay pride event, but as usual we were late for it and only saw the very end. That did not stop us. We had a visitor with us so we made the best of the day and showed him around Stuttgart ate a bit and found out they had a concert on the other end from where we were. We dance, mostly I, and sang with the crowed. Hell I almost played football with the gals there but John and our guest were quite tired from the long day so we headed back to the park house. On our way back. I heard two guys singing beautiful that I told John and our house guest to please give me a few minutes. I would love to finish hear them sing. They sang so beautiful that I had to talk to them a bit and bought their CD. I honestly listen to that CD almost everyday whether I am cooking, cleaning, or just relaxing on the computer. Their songs are relaxing, soulful, romantic and a few will get you dancing.

This is the song in which I would love to share from you when I first heard them in Stuttgart Germany I think it is call “Ma Chance”:

If you would like to hear it clearer without the interference you can listen it here on youtube of one of the member singing the same song:

There is not much on the net about Presteej as yet. If I had time I could of done a small interview since I was chatting with them already. However this is what I have found. Presteej is four songwriters and performers from the Paris suburbs who style is define as Acoustic Pop Soul. Guito’B and David Presna are from Haiti, Mickael Dedji and Yaya Solale of Cote d’Ivoire. David Presna and Mickael Dedji are based in Stuttgart Germany, city in which they represent the group, while Guito’B and Yaya Solale represent the group in Paris. Despite the distance, they still come to work together. They are down to earth people and easy to talk and listen to. I have found out doing my regular digging/research they were on the X Factor in the spring of 2011 which gave them their breakthrough in X Factor 2011 France. I don’t know the story behind it if they won, lost, or what. I just hope talent like this will never be hidden because they are not big names as yet. Their voices are too beautiful not to be heard. Wishing Presteej success and prosperity to rise their voice and beyond!

You can find Presteej on FB and Myspace and listen to a sample of many more of there songs.

Love singers that don’t need music. They ARE the music.

Sounds like a really fun day in Stuttgart. I’m listening to the music links now. I really like his voice. And ah…French. 🙂 That language has a way of affecting me…

Hi Tasha it was, there is always something happening there. It is just knowing or finding it, lol. When you really like his voice. Keep an eye open for their album in store and you can listen to it all day too. I know I heard a few of their song played on the radio station big FM. Never knew who there were until the day I met two of the members out of 4 and bought the CD.

I tell ya, always be good to people and treat them the way you want to be treated because you never know in life who one is really speaking too. This is one of my mottos, lol.

P.S. your last sentence made me smile. Do you have any French stories (the place or person)? If so I would love to hear via here or in one of your post. inquiry mine wants to know, lol, seriously:)

“I tell ya, always be good to people and treat them the way you want to be treated”

Had to quote this. Wouldn’t it be lovely if everyone could remember this?

Hi Rory, that is good of you..please do. I agree their voices are so beautiful not for others to know about them. I heard them on the radio in the past after meeting the two guys in Stuttgart but I have not heard anything recently. You have me curious now to start digging again to see if I miss any new songs.
